How does the CBR theory exam work?
The CBR theory exam for the passenger car driver's license consists of 25 questions about hazard perception and 40 questions about traffic rules and traffic insights. Of the questions about hazard perception, you must answer at least 13 correctly, of those about traffic rules you must answer at least 10 correctly and traffic insights at least 25. Are you going to do a theory exam for a motorcycle or moped driver's license? Then you will be asked 50 questions about traffic rules and traffic insights, of which 41 for motorcycle and 43 for moped must be answered correctly.
What should I bring?
Whether you want to pass your theory exam for the passenger car, motorcycle or moped, you should always bring a valid ID and your reservation number with you. This number can be found in the letter or e-mail you received from the CBR.
What kind of questions will I be asked?
This is a good question, because you will be asked different kind of questions. These can be:

- A single drag-and-drop question
- An entry question
- A hotspot question
- A yes or no and multiple choice question

How long will it take?
You have about 30 minutes for the regular theory exam. It may be that you need extra time for your exam, for example, because you have dyslexia. Then you will get more time to do the theory exam. This extra time also applies if you need individual guidance with your exam, for example, because you have autism. Other options are:

After you have finished the theory exam, you will immediately receive the results:
So you can immediately check which questions you (possibly) answered incorrectly. If you passed, your result is valid for 1.5 years. Did you fail? Then you will need to book another theory exam at one of the CBR locations. Once you have provided your e-mail address, you will receive an e-mail from the CBR stating which topics you should pay extra attention to.
